SERVICE AND WARRANTY... St. Croix fishing rods, reels and rod blanks are carefully crafted and individually inspected to assure that their high quality standards are met. However, should any damage occur to your St. Croix rod, reel or blank, they will promptly repair or replace it (at their option) according to the provisions of the St. Croix Service Policy that specifically applies to that product. Please refer to the Service Policy included with your rod, reel or blank for specific information regarding that model. This policy applies to the original owner only and may not be transferred to another person.

Rods that are not covered under warranty may be repaired or replaced for a reasonable charge. St. Croix will advise you of the cost of repair or replacement and await your approval prior to proceeding.

Damaged products must be returned directly to St. Croix. St. Croix dealers are not authorized to perform service work on behalf of St. Croix. You must return the entire product, including broken parts, freight prepaid and insured, to the address below. Please include a note explaining the problem, along with $20.00 for return shipping and handling within the USA. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the rod, reel or rod blank, and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product. This warranty does not cover normal wear, accident, misuse, neglect, fire, theft, loss, intentional damage or value added from the construction of a custom rod from a St. Croix blank. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

TECHNOLOGY... As you may know, most high-performance rods are designed using compound tapers that employ three to four measured transition points along the blank where the slope of the taper changes. Those same transition points, however, can also create points of weakness on the blank.

That’s where St. Croix's revolutionary Integrated Poly Curve (IPC®) Tooling Technology comes in.
The first process of its kind, IPC® creates tapers that are a continuous curve from the tip to the butt of the rod — eliminating all weakening transition points. That means stronger rods. And actions that cast with unprecedented smoothness. It’s a remarkable performance breakthrough. And it’s exclusive to St. Croix’s Legend Elite® and St. Croix's Legend Ultra® series of rods.

  • IPC®-engineered rods feature smoother actions because the graphite is rolled and compacted onto the rodmaking mandrel in one continuous taper, rather than a series of measured slope changes (as in compound tapering).
  • IPC® eliminates all transitional points of weakness on the blank.
  • IPC® blanks are stronger because stress is distributed along the entire blank.
  • IPC® tapers result in superior graphite fiber alignment along the length of the blank. This ensures better longitudinal strength because the fiber alignment is never distorted at transition points. It also results in more uniform strength, stiffness and sensitivity along the entire blank shaft for better vibration transmission and enhanced feel.


ADVANCED REINFORCING TECHNOLOGY® (ART®) ... Advanced Reinforcing Technology (ART™) is a proprietary St. Croix manufacturing process that adds strength to their rods in critical locations without adding weight or increasing the rod's diameter. By adding a very thin layer of special graphite fibers wrapped around the blank at right angles to the regular longitudinal fibers, ART significantly increases the hoop strength of the blank by preventing it from deforming or "ovaling" under severe a load, such as a powerful hook set.
