Manufactured in small production runs one at a time, Star Rods builds custom-style rods with maximum value. Star Rods chooses the highest quality components— from Fuji, AFTCO and Stuart. Blanks are made to Star Rods' unique and demanding specifications, gained from a lifetime of rod building and fishing experience, using the company’s own custom mandrels.

Whatever the manufacturing need, Star Rods uses the best parts available, or helps component manufacturers develop custom parts particularly for Star Rods. A Star Rod uses the highest quality materials: Grade A cork grips; Fuji and Stuart reel seat; Fuji; AFTCO and Stuart guides; EVA grips; high-quality epoxy and thread. While similarities exist in the design of each rod series, each is engineered with a construction all its own to meet a particular fisherman's needs for strength, action and durability. From making the blanks to fastening a tip top, from setting the reel seat to adding a stylish diamond wrap, Star Rods are still painstakingly built by hand, one at a time, to keep the records coming. STAR RODS PLASMA JIGGING RODS Star Rods Plasma
jigging rods are "true" jigging rods and not the hybrids seen in most stores.
Plasma Jigging Rods are extremely light and exceptionally strong.
Always ahead of the curve, Star Rods is one of the first
manufacturers in the world to create fishing rods using basalt fiber. Basalt
fiber used in conjunction with Duratech technology gives Star Plasma jigging

Basalt is a naturally occurring volcanic rock found throughout the
world. The rock is melted and spun into continuous, extremely fine fibers, which
are used throughout Star Plasma Jigging Rods. Basalt fibers are known for their
